Twenty Sports RRHS Sports Medicine students recently provided hands-on CPR training for middle school students at CTMS and CMS. The training sessions focused on teaching essential life-saving skills, including proper chest compressions and emergency response techniques. This initiative was entirely student-led, with Sports Medicine students delivering the instruction. Their leadership and dedication helped empower younger students with the confidence and knowledge to respond in emergency situations.

The RRHS Law and Public Safety successfully completed the required training for students to obtain their Arizona Security Guard Card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety. This certification prepares students with the essential knowledge and skills needed to meet state requirements for the security profession. Earning the Arizona Security Guard Card allows our students to seek employment with licensed security companies throughout the state. We remain committed to ensuring every CTE program provides students with industry-recognized certifications.

Rio Rico High School FFA students recently participated in the Spring Conference, where they showcased their skills. Students demonstrated strong knowledge in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Sales, Agronomy, Livestock Evaluation, and Veterinary Science competitions. Their participation reflects the continued commitment of our CTE programs to providing real-world opportunities. These competitions provide valuable hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for future careers in engineering. Special thanks to Ms. Cardenas for always creating these opportunities for our students.

Students from Rio Rico High School Law and Public Safety program are proudly participating in the SkillsUSA Arizona regional competition, where they will demonstrate their knowledge and skills through realistic criminal justice scenarios. This opportunity allows students to apply classroom learning in hands-on situations that reflect real-world law enforcement practices . RRHS/CTE extend a special thank you to our local law enforcement agencies for their dedication in helping prepare our students for this event.

The Law and Public Safety students at Rio Rico High School proudly wore their uniforms to promote CTE Month and showcase their program. Their participation highlighted effective communication and commitment they are developing through Career and Technical Education. Tomorrow, students are encouraged to dress like Sports Medicine to continue celebrating the different CTE pathways on campus.

During CTE Month, JROTC Cadets from Rio Rico High School helped clean Frontage Road as part of their commitment to community service. Kasadra Perez, an alumni, presented valuable insights to students in the Law and Public Safety program, connecting classroom learning to real-world experiences. Luke Faley documented the activities by carrying his camera. RRHS-CTE continues to provide meaningful Work-Based Learning (WBL) opportunities.
