Rio Rico has concluded its Lock Down Drill. Please remember parents and guardians that this was a drill to prepare our students and staff in case of a real emergency.

Good afternoon parents and guardians. Rio Rico High School is preparing our students and staff on how to react to an emergency. At this time a Lock down Drill has been enacted at Rio Rico High School. This is a drill and not a real emergency.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Coin Wars! With all of the sites combined, we raised over $4,300 to give to families in need in our community. A special thanks to Michael Garrett, Garrett’s IGA Supermarket, and the Rio Rico Rotary for helping make this all possible. We are especially grateful to Mr. Garrett who donated $10 extra per gift card to further help those in need during the holiday season!

Rio Rico High School art teacher Miguel Grijalva and art students Fatima Martinez, Maya Gomez, and Bryanna Bustamante took part in the creation of the Present Meets the Past mural overseen by the Santa Cruz County School Superintendent's Office. They were interviewed by Beyond Fronteras historian Dr. Carlos Parra who gave the group historical information throughout the process.
