Students are actively engaged in learning how to march drills, baking cinnamon rolls , respond to real-life scenarios, practice sports medicine techniques, and develop skills in agricultural programs through personalized instruction.

This experience allowed students to apply their culinary skills in a real-world professional setting. Rio Rico High School Sports Medicine students proudly participated in the AZ ATA 49th Annual Winter Symposium, an enriching experience aligned with the mission of the Arizona Athletic Trainers’ Association to promote and enhance the athletic training profession. Students gained valuable exposure to current practices, professional standards, and career pathways within sports medicine and athletic training. Special thanks to Ms. Alex Hix for providing these amazing opportunities and for her continued support in helping our students grow, learn, and connect with professionals in the field.
