Congratulations to Jessence Octavio-Callejo for winning the Wrestling Arizona State Championship in the Division II category! At last night’s board meeting, Athletic Director Mr. Christopher Laughland, Wrestling Coach Mr. Taylor Nordgren, and our board members recognized her outstanding accomplishment.

Her dedication, hard work, and perseverance not only led to this victory but also bring pride to our entire school community and district. Hawk Pride!

The Rio Rico High School Winter Guard is having an incredible season! After a strong start, the team was promoted to a higher competitive division mid-season, a reflection of their growth, skill, and performance quality. They rose to the challenge right away, earning an impressive 2nd place finish in their first competition at the new level!

Just one week later, they built on that momentum with an even stronger performance, capturing 1st place and the top score in their division. Their dedication, teamwork, and commitment continue to shine as they prepare for championships. We are proud of this group for embracing the challenge and showing what they’re capable of!
