Rio Rico High School JROTC cadets conduct a 1 hour class to the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders of the Mountain View Elementary School students. The purpose of this event was to teach the students how to raise and lower the FLAG while rendering respect to the Colors as well as how to fold and unfold the flag. Special Thanks to LTC Roque and 1SG Moore for connecting with our elementary students.

Rio Rico High School Engineering students participated in the Racing the Sun Workshop held in Tucson, Arizona. The event focused on solar-powered vehicle design, engineering principles, and problem-solving skills. This experience not only enhanced their technical knowledge but also inspired them to continue exploring careers in engineering.

Congratulations to head coach, Alexis Bermudez and the Rio Rico volleyball program! The Hawks clinched the 4A Gila Region title last night - the 1st in school history! See you Monday for senior night!
The Hawks currently sit ranked #17 in the 4A conference and have won 11 straight power point contests. The top 24 teams will punch a ticket into postseason play.

R. R.H.S Career and Technical Education programs visited Calabasas K-8 to showcase the wide range of opportunities available through CTE. Each program was represented by two student ambassadors who spoke to 8th graders about the importance of Dual Enrollment, Internships, Work-Based Learning, CTSOs, and developing leadership skills. The visit helped inspire future Hawks to start thinking about their career pathways early. Special thanks to all Calabasas staff for welcoming our students and helping make this meaningful connection possible.

Flag Football Senior Night TONIGHT!

Volleyball Moves up to #16; Now 6-0 in Region Play!


Rio Rico High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) visited Coatimundi Middle School, where CTE ambassadors spoke to 8th graders about the value of CTE programs, internships, dual enrollment, industry certifications, Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), and more. The presentations highlighted how CTE helps students gain real-world skills and prepare for future careers. RRHS counselors also discussed the importance of earning college credits while in high school. Special thanks to the CTMS staff for welcoming our ambassadors and allowing them to present to their middle school students.










Rio Rico High School’s Law and Public Safety program and JROTC Color Guard proudly participated in the annual Red Ribbon Ceremony, showing their commitment to promoting a drug-free community. Special thanks to Mr. Nicolaus and LTC. Roque for always providing hands-on opportunities. RRHS-CTE continues to take pride in participating in community events that highlight student leadership.

Josie Nuno, FBLA Advisor for Coatimundi Middle School, took six FBLA Middle School Officers to the 2025 FBLA Leadership Conference, where students had the opportunity to participate in leadership activities and network with other FBLA chapters from across the state. Following the conference, our FBLA members enjoyed watching a Phoenix Suns game. Special thanks to Javier Moreno and Josie Nuno for their dedication and for providing this outstanding opportunity for our CTMS students.
