A committee of more than 20 state and district-level leaders from Nevada visited SCV35 one week after Nevada State Superintendent Ebert visited our district last week. As a state, Nevada is working to develop a network of districts interested in evolving to a personalized, competency-based learning (PCBL) model of instruction and toured three of our school sites to see what PCBL looks like in action. Consultants from KnowledgeWorks, an Ohio-based education advocacy group, also participated. #SCV35AboveTheBar #PCBL

Oh, the weather outside is......nice and warm thanks to Coats for Kids, Inc. and Stewart Title who provided 135 coats for our kids this winter season!

The donations continue rolling in! We are so grateful to the Santa Cruz County Board of Realtors and the Real Wishes Foundation for their generosity and donation of nearly $1500 worth of blankets for families this winter season.

"Many thanks to our community for donating approximately $1500 worth of toys during our annual Stuff the Bus event. The donations will benefit students in our school district this holiday season. "
Sincerely,
Your Parent Liaisons
