Students at Mountain View Elementary School took action last week to make a difference in their community! 💪
STUCO and NEHS students went #AbovetheBar and worked with the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension SCC to conduct a community cleanup. It's amazing what we can accomplish when we work together to keep our environment clean and green. 🌎💚

This week, we are incredibly excited to celebrate all of our amazing SCV35 Assistant Principals/Assistant to the Principals! 💫 These are individuals who lead with heart, inspire with dedication, and support our students and staff every day. Congratulations to RRHS students for taking 1st and 2nd places at the Mountain View Competition for Winter Guard Arizona! Our students are always going #AboveTheBar!
RRHS Winter Guard took 1st place with a score of 70.920 and Indoor Percussion took 2nd place with a score of 76.45 at the WGAZ competition on March 15th at Mountain View High School in Tucson. The group contains primarily high school students but there are a couple of middle school students that were allowed to join as well. The Winter Guard group is coached by Kris Siros & Victoria Taft while the Indoor Percussion group is coached by Austin Siros & Carter Taft.
Representing the Winter Guard group at this competition was Syair Avance, Kimberly Corral Toledo, Camila Gaxiola, Hannah Hardwick, Alexis Jemino, Emily Medina, Raevin Mullen, Julian Orrantia, Daniella Osorio, Estevan Quintanar, and Santiago Valenzuela.
Representing the Indoor Percussion group at this competition was Pedro Arballo, Syair Avance, Raquel Carrillo, Layla Coppola, Aaden Duran, Erik Espino, Derek Espino, Cristobal Fontes, Luis-Fernando Ledezma, Scarlette Lerma, Alan Martinez, Mariajose Mendivil, Jaime Olivar, Daniela Orozco, Camila Pineda, Pablo Portillo, Andree Ramos, Jesus Rodriguez, and Santiago Valenzuela.

This afternoon, a student made a verbal threat against Rio Rico High School. After investigation, the call was determined to be a prank. The student is being arrested by authorities, and there is currently no danger to any of our schools or students. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority.

The RRHS HawX Dance Team is performing at the Tucson Roadrunners game TOMORROW April 5, 2025 at 7pm! A portion of the proceeds go right back to our dance program and students! We hope to see you there! 🏒
