RRHS Wrestling Program at SCC Rabies Clinic

The Rio Rico High School Wrestling program kicked off their Thanksgiving break with an act of service that reflects the heart of SCV35. Early last Saturday morning, the team volunteered alongside Santa Cruz County Animal Care and Control Services to help operate the community rabies clinic.

Throughout the event, our student-athletes played a key role in keeping the clinic running smoothly. Wrestlers guided community members as they arrived, assisted with documenting patient and animal information, and helped with cleanup once the clinic wrapped up. Their teamwork and professionalism were evident as they supported families and pet owners from across the county.

Coaches and county staff shared their appreciation for the students’ willingness to step in during a busy holiday week. By choosing to spend part of their Thanksgiving break giving back, the RRHS athletes demonstrated the same dedication off the mat that they show during competition.

SCV35 is incredibly proud of these students for modeling leadership, service, and community pride. Their efforts highlight the positive impact our youth can make when they come together for a common purpose.
