Santa Cruz Valley Unified School District No. 35 welcomes homeschool families and provides opportunities for eligible students to participate in select classes, clubs, athletics, and extracurricular programs.

Program offerings and availability vary by school. Families interested in participating should contact the appropriate school directly to learn more about available opportunities, eligibility requirements, and any enrollment or registration procedures.

Families interested in having their homeschool student participate in an SCV35 class, activity, athletic program, or extracurricular opportunity can begin by completing the Homeschool Interest Form.

Once the form has been received, the district will provide the family with information for the school associated with the requested program. The family will then work directly with the school to determine whether the program is an appropriate fit and whether space is available.

If the student is approved to participate, the school will provide instructions for completing any required registration, enrollment, and PowerSchool processes. Additional requirements may apply depending on the program.

Some programs may require participation fees established and approved by the SCV35 Governing Board. Applicable fees are the same for participating students and cannot be adjusted or waived.

For families using an Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA), SCV35 will provide an itemized invoice following confirmation of participation for submission through the appropriate ESA process. ESA participation will be verified by the district.

Families who are not using an ESA are responsible for applicable program or school-related fees.

Participation cannot begin until the required registration and enrollment steps have been completed and any applicable fees or payments have been confirmed. The student's school will communicate when the student is cleared to begin participating.

Completing the Homeschool Interest Form is an initial request for information and does not constitute enrollment or guarantee a student's placement in a program. Participation is dependent upon program eligibility, availability, and completion of all required registration and enrollment procedures.
