If you’re new to the area or have a kindergartner to enroll at one of our schools, welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. On this page, you’ll find answers to many of your registration questions. We’ve also posted registration forms and information at the side of this page for your convenience.

School Information

Beginning August 2016, preschool students will have full-day classes, 7:30 a.m. to  2:10 p.m. This is the same as the K-5 schedule.


Frequently Asked Registration Questions

How old does my child need to be?
Children who will have their fifth birthday prior to September 1 are eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year.

Where should I register?
Please register your child at the Welcome Center, which is located at 131 Camino Maricopa in Rio Rico. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

What should I bring?
In order to complete the registration process, you will need to bring the following documents to registration:

  • Child’s birth certificate (original, no copies)
  • Immunization records
  • Valid driver’s license or picture ID
  • Verification of address (mortgage statement or rental lease), plus electric bill
  • Last report card or transcripts
  • Official withdrawal form
  • Proof of legal custody

A parent or guardian must accompany the student during registration.

For children born in Arizona, an immediate family member can obtain a certified birth certificate from the Arizona Office of Vital Records:

Immunization Information

In accordance with state law, we require our students to receive the appropriate immunizations—and provide proof of immunization—before enrolling in our district schools. Please visit our Health Office page for details and information about immunization requirements.
